What is the biggest obstacle facing women today from reaching their goals?

Yesterday I talked about how women are looked and expected upon a certain way, which is definitely an obstacle that many women face not only today, but since I-don’t-know-when. In the early age, women are forbidden to even go outside the house to work. We’ve already come a long way, of course, but that doesn’t mean that we are past stereotypes and prejudism. Many women still feels inferior about many things until now, and it’s a sad truth that we just need to try to go by and keep ourselves from getting affected by it.

I’m not saying women should run the world in the literal sense, like that Beyoncé song, Run The World. Nope. But if you look into it closely, women are such powerful beings simply for existing. Women has the power to bear a human being inside of them and give life to it. Among a woman’s many strengths, this is probably one of the most important things that women do that men can’t.

Not that men don’t suffer from gender inequality themselves, but we all know that women suffer from it more often than men, even if we do not want to admit it to ourselves.

But the one thing that keeps a woman from reaching their goals is her inability to believe in herself. The lack of courage, faith and hope. And sadly, this is the kind of journey that you really won’t be able to go through if you’re afraid and scared all the time. It’s the kind of a rough road that wouldn’t clear up if you didn’t start walking through it with your head held up high, taking slow careful steps. But once you have started planting your feet on the ground, you will realize that this rough patch is actually just a piece of cake.
