Almost done with Brain on Fire. To be honest, it made me worry if it will happen to me someday. What happened to Susannah Cahalan was downright scary. And not only does Dr. Najjar remind me of Dr. House, but the team that handled her also reminded me of the Diagnostics team of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Suddenly, it makes me want to watch House MD again only because I want to see if they even get close to discussing (something similar to) Cahalan’s case.

Autoimmune Encephalitis. That’s what she had.

If there’s one thing I learned from reading this book, and from watching House, is to read signs and symptoms… And to never, NEVER, ignore them.
